The purpose of the Home & School Association is the advancement of Catholic Education and the welfare of all the school children of our parish.  The Home & School Association promotes parent-school activities, supplements school resources and provides interesting speakers at meetings to speak on various topics of interest to parents and teachers.

Committees

Special Events

This committee coordinates our social events, such as the Halloween party, Fun Night and the Spring Social.  They also arrange school assemblies, Career Day, Catholic Schools Week events and assist with Field Day.  They also coordinate our organization's participation in parish events such as the Christmas Bazaar and Monte Carlo Night.  This committee is very busy and appreciates help with planning, shopping, setting up, running games, cleaning up and many other activities.

Membership

This committee coordinates various aspects of the General Membership including the collecting and recording of annual dues and establishing and updating the membership files.  They also coordinate our General Membership meetings including arranging for guest speakers, sending out meeting reminders, running the 50/50 drawing and the $100 tuitions drawing, member sign-in and board elections.  This committee appreciates help with the various preparations for General Membership Meetings.

Homeroom Team

This committee coordinates classroom teams.  The teams assist with holiday parties, crafts, class trips, teachers' birthdays and other classroom events requiring volunteers.  They also coordinate the very important emergency/reminder phone chain.  This committee is very busy and can use your help.

Hospitality

This committee coordinates all areas of food and refreshments served at our events, including Hot Dog Day, Student Appreciation Day and luncheons.  This committee is very busy and appreciates help with preparing and serving food and refreshments.

Ways and Means

This committee coordinates all aspects of fundraising including the annual fundraiser, Walk-a-thons, pizza sales and the Thanksgiving pie sale.  They also sponsor programs such as Market Day, Cartridges and Cell Phones for Kids, General Mills Box Tops, Campbell Soup Labels, Target Rebate, Genuardi's Rebate and many others.  They also sponsor Santa Secret Workshop, a service event.  The proceeds from these events support the programs funded by Home and School.  These programs include painting of the school, desk and chair replacement, Art program, special parties, socials, crafts, assemblies, Hot Dog Days, Field Day, lunch tables for the students and teachers, technology upgrades, laminating film, special classroom items, student awards, Catholic Schools Week events, and many others.  This committee always appreciates the help of volunteers.
